These fake condoms pose serious health risks due to poor quality, lack of sterilization, inadequate lubrication, and incorrect labeling, leading to ineffective protection against pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. The United States — Food and Drug Administration has identified key differences between genuine and counterfeit products, including packaging, manufacturer details, and condom characteristics. The agency has directed its zonal and state offices to intensify surveillance and mop-up operations to remove the falsified products from circulation and urged the public to purchase medical products only from authorized suppliers.
