US-Iran 15-Condition Peace Talks

The United States, under Donald Trump's administration, has reportedly conveyed 15 conditions to Iran as terms for ending the ongoing conflict. These conditions include Iran dismantling its nuclear capabilities, committing to never pursue nuclear weapons, ceasing uranium enrichment, handing over its uranium stockpile to the International — International Atomic Energy Agency, and dismantling nuclear facilities. Additionally, the United States demands Iran abandon its regional proxy 'paradigm,' cease funding and arming proxies, ensure the Strait of Hormuz remains open, and limit its missile program. In return, Iran would receive a full lifting of international sanctions, assistance with its civilian nuclear program (including the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant), and the removal of the 'snapback' mechanism for sanctions. Israel, while informed of the negotiations, is concerned that Donald Trump's team might push for a 'framework agreement' rather than insisting on these demands as a strict condition for halting the war. Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff have reportedly developed a mechanism for a monthlong ceasefire period during which the 15-point agreement would be negotiated. Donald Trump has publicly confirmed negotiations are underway, expressing confidence in an impending end to the conflict, though Iran has denied formal negotiations and stated it would only achieve peace once US-Israel stopped its campaign.
