Japanese Soldier Breaks into Chinese Embassy

A member of the Japan Self-Defense Forces, Kodai Murata, 23, was arrested on March 24, 2026, for trespassing after breaking into the Chinese embassy in Tokyo. He reportedly intended to meet the ambassador to ask him to refrain from hardline remarks, threatening self-harm if rejected. A knife was found at the scene.
