Key initiatives include the India — Bengaluru Metro Rail Project (Phase 3) and the India — Mumbai Metro Line 11 Project to expand mass rapid transportation systems, a project for strengthening tertiary healthcare and medical education in India — Maharashtra, and a project for promoting sustainable horticulture in India — Punjab, India. The notes for the loan were exchanged between Abhishek Kumar Tiwari of the India — Ministry of Finance (India) and Keiichi Ono, the ambassador of Japan to India, on March 24. Loan agreements were also signed between the Government of India and the Japan — Japan International Cooperation Agency. This funding aims to promote regional economic development, improve urban environments, mitigate climate change, enhance access to quality medical care, and boost farmers' incomes, further solidifying the long-standing strategic and global partnership between India and Japan.
