The Nigeria — National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) conducted a series of drug interdiction operations across Nigeria in March 2026. A major operation in Lagos led to the interception of 5.80 kilograms of cocaine concealed in dry stock-fish heads, intended for India, and the arrest of Akputa Dickson Ejike. In other Lagos operations, the Nigeria — National Drug Law Enforcement Agency intercepted methamphetamine, Morphine Sulphate, and Fentanyl bound for the United Kingdom, originating from Benin. They also raided a drug syndicate's house, arresting Omolade Abigail Jolayemi and Sarah Agbabiaka, and seizing 76.30kg of cannabis. Another suspect, Anayo Lucky Ohabiro, was arrested with 41kg of cannabis. Further operations in Ekiti, Ondo, Benue, Edo, and Taraba states resulted in the arrest of several individuals, including Isaiah Samuel, Enuwa Kehinde Kingsley, Saater Nyam, Felix Donald, Osama Mamuda, and Auwal Umar, and the seizure of large quantities of skunk, methamphetamine, and codeine-based syrup.
