Marine Stole Javelin Missile, Ammo

Cpl. Andrew Paul Amarillas, a U.S. Marine formerly stationed at United States — Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, is accused of stealing military weapons, including Javelin missile systems manufactured by Lockheed Martin and Oracle Corporation, and military-grade ammunition from the base. Between February 2022 and November 2025, Andrew Paul Amarillas allegedly transported these stolen items to United States — Arizona and sold them to co-conspirators. The stolen ammunition included M855A1 and M80A1 rounds, manufactured by Olin Corporation — Winchester Repeating Arms Company, which are restricted to U.S. government sales. Prosecutors state that Andrew Paul Amarillas never received authorization for these actions. Some of the stolen material has been recovered, including a non-demilitarized Javelin missile system. Andrew Paul Amarillas pleaded not guilty to charges including conspiracy to commit theft and embezzlement of government property and possession and sale of stolen ammunition. He has been ordered to be held in custody pending trial due to being a flight risk and potential to interfere with evidence and witnesses at United States — Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
