Atiku Abubakar denies political retirement

Atiku Abubakar accused the Nigeria and its agents of sponsoring this narrative, suggesting it stems from fear of the growing national consensus to 'rescue Nigeria from the failures of the current administration.' He clarified that he has not held any national-level meetings with Nigeria — African Democratic Congress stakeholders regarding his retirement, with his only recent engagement being with party members in Nigeria — Adamawa State. Atiku Abubakar's media office emphasized that any decision as significant as exiting active politics would be formally conveyed through official channels, not through rumors or third-party fabrications. He urged his supporters and all Nigerians to disregard the fake news and remain focused on the collective effort to 'reclaim and rebuild our nation,' indicating his continued interest in the 2027 presidential election.
