OneTaste Founder Nicole Daedone Sentenced

Nicole Daedone, co-founder of the wellness company OneTaste, was sentenced to nine years in federal prison for forced labor conspiracy. Her former sales director, Rachel Cherwitz, received a six-and-a-half-year sentence. The sentencing, handed down by U.S. District Court Judge Diane Gujarati, also included a forfeiture of $12 million from Nicole Daedone, the amount she sold OneTaste for, and an order to pay $900,000 in restitution to seven victims. Prosecutors from the United States — United States Department of Justice had sought a 20-year term for Nicole Daedone, arguing that she and Rachel Cherwitz exploited vulnerable women through economic pressure, psychological manipulation, and forced sexual acts under the guise of 'orgasmic meditation' and 'sexual empowerment.' Despite letters of support from individuals like The Grantville Gazettes and Richard Schiff, and arguments from her lawyers for a shorter sentence, the judge emphasized the criminal nature of the scheme. Attorney Alan Dershowitz has stated his intention to seek a presidential pardon from Donald Trump for both Nicole Daedone and Rachel Cherwitz.
