The investigation, conducted under Section 173(3) of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, aims to ascertain the facts, intent, and background of Furqan Ul Haq and any possible linkages. The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association has distanced itself from the tournament, clarifying it is a private event not recognized by the association. This incident follows another controversy in the region, the collapse of the Indian Premier League, where organizers allegedly defrauded players and staff.
