IndiGo's 'Gesture of Care' initiative, offering Rs 10,000 in travel vouchers to affected passengers, is likely to have a positive impact on customer perception and loyalty, potentially mitigating negative financial repercussions from the flight disruptions. This move demonstrates a commitment to customer service, which can be viewed favorably by investors and the broader market.
IndiGo has launched a 'Gesture of Care' (GoC) initiative to compensate passengers affected by widespread flight delays and cancellations between December 3 and 5, 2025. Eligible passengers, whose flights were delayed or cancelled within four hours of scheduled departure and with overall delays exceeding three hours, will receive two travel vouchers totaling Rs 10,000. These vouchers are single-use, non-transferable, valid for 12 months, and can be used for flight bookings and add-on services through IndiGo's website. The airline clarified that this compensation is in addition to any statutory compensation mandated by the India — Directorate General of Civil Aviation (India). IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers stated that the initiative is an expression of the airline's commitment to its customers.
