India Launches National IED Data System

It will enable various security and law enforcement agencies, including the India — National Investigation Agency (NIA), Anti-Terrorism Squads (ATS), state police forces, and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), to access, analyze, and share critical data in real-time. The NIDMS aims to improve post-blast investigations, identify patterns and trends in terrorist activities, and facilitate better inter-agency coordination. Supported by entities like Rashtriya Raksha University and Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Delhi), the platform incorporates AI and machine learning tools for predictive analysis and forensic standards. This initiative is a significant step towards a 'One Nation, One Data Repository' approach to combat terrorism in India.
