Evenflo has issued a voluntary recall of 74,710 All4One child car seats manufactured between January 2022 and October 2023 (some sources say June 2024). The recall was prompted by a defect in the recline mechanism, which can shift positions when the seat is used in a rear-facing configuration. The United States — National Highway Traffic Safety Administration identified this issue during testing, noting that a shifting recline position could increase the risk of injury in a crash and also poses a pinching hazard for passengers. Evenflo is offering free, equivalent replacement car seats to affected customers and has stated that the recalled models are no longer being manufactured or sold. While no injuries have been reported, Evenflo advises parents to continue using the car seats with caution, ensuring hands and fingers are kept away from the recline mechanism.
