China Military Incursions Near Taiwan

Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense detected significant military activity by the China — State Council of China, including multiple National Liberation Army aircraft and National Liberation Army ships operating near Taiwan's territory. On Sunday, 4 National Liberation Army aircraft and 6 National Liberation Army ships were detected, with one aircraft crossing the median line into Taiwan's northern ADIZ. This follows similar incursions on Saturday (3 aircraft, 6 ships) and Friday (23 aircraft, 6 ships), where a substantial number of aircraft crossed the median line into various ADIZ sectors. In response, Taiwan's President Lai Ching-te reiterated his commitment to safeguarding Taiwan against the China — State Council of China's 'cross-border pressure,' emphasizing that Taiwan is not subordinate to the China — State Council of China. He cited the visit of sanctioned Japanese lawmaker Hei Seki to Taiwan as further proof of this independence.
