The program was temporarily paused to ensure full compliance with regulatory standards and to establish a robust governance framework. During the pause, an EMV management company was formally registered with the Nigeria — Corporate Affairs Commission, and electricians and technicians received comprehensive training for vehicle maintenance. A new Trust Fund has also been established to oversee the EMV program and other constituency assets, ensuring long-term sustainability and accountability. The initiative aims to empower 100 beneficiaries, particularly women and youths, by providing them with locally assembled electric and solar-powered tricycles for commercial operations, thereby creating sustainable livelihoods and promoting clean energy solutions in Kogi Central.
