This greenfield project, comprising 4 GW solar cell and 4 GW solar module manufacturing units, will be developed in two phases, with commercial production slated for July 2027 and July 2028. The Government of India — Andhra Pradesh has approved the project under its Industrial Development Policy 4.0 (2024–29), offering substantial incentives such as land allotment, capital investment support, power tariff reimbursement, and statutory exemptions. The state has also facilitated land for a dedicated captive solar power plant, and Websol Energy System plans an additional 100 MW captive solar facility to ensure cost-efficient and green operations. This initiative is expected to generate around 2,000 direct jobs and strengthen India — Andhra Pradesh's position as a leading hub for renewable energy manufacturing, contributing to India's clean-energy ambitions and the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
