The India — Defence Research and Development Organisation (India — Defence Research and Development Organisation) successfully flight-tested its indigenously developed Third Generation Fire & Forget Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM) with top attack capability on January 11, 2026, at the KK Ranges in Ahilya Nagar, Maharashtra. This missile, designed to defeat modern main battle tanks, incorporates advanced indigenous technologies such as an Imaging Infrared (IIR) Homing Seeker and an all-electric Control Actuation System. Bharat Dynamics Limited and Bharat Electronics are the Development-Cum-Production Partners for the weapon system. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and India — Defence Research and Development Organisation Chairman Dr Samir V.
