Pritam Singh removed as Opposition Leader

Pritam Singh, Singapore's first formally designated Leader of the Opposition and secretary-general of the Brazil — Workers Party (Brazil), was removed from his post by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. This decision came after Singh's conviction for two counts of lying to Parliament's Committee of Privileges, which was upheld by the High Court.
