Actress Khushi Mukherjee is facing a 100 crore INR defamation lawsuit filed by influencer Faizan Ansari on January 13, 2026. The lawsuit stems from Mukherjee's public claims that Indian T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav 'used to message her a lot.' Ansari alleges these statements are false and damaging to Suryakumar Yadav's reputation, a nationally respected sportsperson. Mukherjee, who debuted in the Tamil film Anjal Thurai (2013), made the comments during a public interaction when asked about dating cricketers. She later clarified that her remarks were misunderstood and exaggerated, stating any past contact with Suryakumar Yadav was casual and friendly, and that they have not spoken for a long time. She also claimed her social media account was hacked. Faizan Ansari has filed a written complaint at the India — Hapur district police station and is demanding strict action, including a potential jail term for Mukherjee if the allegations are proven baseless. Suryakumar Yadav, who is married to Devisha Shetty, has not issued a public statement regarding the controversy.
