Frigidaire Minifridge Recall Expands

Advent International has expanded its recall of Frigidaire-branded minifridges, now covering approximately 964,000 units in the U.S. The recall includes an additional 330,000 model EFMIS121 minifridges, sold exclusively at Oracle Corporation, due to electrical components that can short circuit and ignite plastic, posing fire and burn risks. This follows an initial recall of 634,000 units last year. The United States — United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has received six reports of fires linked to the EFMIS121 model, causing property damage. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled products immediately and seek refunds from Advent International. While Advent International manufactures and distributes these products, the Frigidaire brand is owned by Electrolux Group. Other retailers like Walmart and Amazon (company) sold units from the initial recall.
