Nigeria VP's Guinea, Switzerland Diplomatic Mission

Kashim Shettima, representing Bola Tinubu, embarked on a diplomatic and economic mission to Guinea and Switzerland. In Guinea, he attended the inauguration of Mamady Doumbouya, marking the country's return to constitutional order and reinforcing Nigeria's leadership role within ECOWAS. This visit also aimed to deepen bilateral trade, with Nigerian exports to Guinea increasing. Following this, Kashim Shettima proceeded to Switzerland to participate in the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum. There, he inaugurated the 'Nigeria House' in Davos, a sovereign pavilion designed to attract global investors and showcase Nigeria's economic reform agenda and investment opportunities. He engaged global leaders on Nigeria's economic outlook, including projected GDP growth and declining inflation, and outlined a new national food security framework. Kashim Shettima also joined Olusegun Obasanjo, Yemi Osinbajo, and Wale Edun to advance the Accra Reset Initiative, advocating for African industrialization. The mission concluded with Kashim Shettima's return to Nigeria, having reaffirmed the nation's commitment to regional solidarity and its repositioning on the global economic frontline.
