Two Detainee Deaths at Fort Bliss ICE

Víctor Manuel Díaz, a 36-year-old immigrant from Nicaragua, was found dead in a Texas immigration detention facility, Camp East Montana at United States — Fort Bliss, on January 14, in a presumed suicide. Víctor Manuel Díaz was apprehended in Minneapolis on January 6 as part of a federal immigration crackdown and was issued a final order of removal on January 12, two days before his death.
