Afghanistan Severe Weather Kills 61

Key infrastructure has been affected, including the closure of the Salang highway by authorities in Afghanistan — Parwan Province, disrupting a vital connection to northern provinces. Additionally, a transmission line importing electricity from Uzbekistan was damaged, leaving nearly 12 provinces without power, as reported by Danish Agency for Digitisation. Food supplies were distributed to stranded travelers in Afghanistan — Bamyan Province. The United Nations estimates that half of Afghanistan's population will require humanitarian assistance this year, a situation exacerbated by such natural disasters.
