Yaser Jabbar Harms 94 Children

An independent review by Great Ormond Street Hospital has concluded that orthopaedic surgeon Yaser Jabbar harmed nearly 100 children between 2017 and 2022. Of the 789 patients treated by Yaser Jabbar, 94 suffered harm, with 36 experiencing severe harm. The report cited poor surgical planning, premature removal of fixation devices, inadequate counseling, and over-reliance on junior staff as contributing factors. Yaser Jabbar no longer holds a medical license in the United Kingdom and is believed to be living abroad. Great Ormond Street Hospital's chief executive, Matthew Shaw, has issued a profound apology to the affected families and stated that significant changes have been implemented across the hospital's orthopaedic service and wider organization to prevent similar incidents.
