Foreign tourists will now be allowed duty-free clearance for articles up to ₹25,000, an increase from the previous ₹15,000. Additionally, the rules revise the duty-free jewellery allowance for Indian residents returning from abroad, setting limits at 40 grams for female passengers and 20 grams for others. These changes aim to streamline travel regulations and align them with contemporary overseas travel and consumption patterns.
