India ED vs West Bengal Obstruction

The searches were part of a money-laundering probe into an alleged coal pilferage scam. The India — Supreme Court of India has deemed the alleged obstruction 'very serious' and is examining whether state law-enforcing agencies can interfere with a central agency's probe. It has also stayed FIRs filed by the India — West Bengal against India — Enforcement Directorate officials and directed the India — West Bengal to protect CCTV footage of the raids. The India — Trinamool Congress, for whom the Indian Political Action Committee acts as an election consultant, denies the obstruction allegations and claims the India — Enforcement Directorate's actions are aimed at disrupting its electoral preparations.
