DEA Seizes 200 India-Linked Pharmacy Domains

The United States — Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), in cooperation with the United States — United States District Court for the Northern District of California, launched 'Operation Meltdown', seizing over 200 website domains linked to an India-based transnational criminal organization. These illegal online pharmacies are allegedly responsible for at least six fatal and four non-fatal overdoses in the United States. The operation, which has been ongoing since 2022, led to the arrest of four individuals and the issuance of several suspension orders against DEA-registered pharmacies. The United States — Drug Enforcement Administration is actively collaborating with Government of India law enforcement partners to combat these illicit drug trafficking operations. The agency also sent over 20,000 letters to customers who purchased medication through these illegal sites, seeking information for the ongoing investigation.
