Saudi Arabia Early Hajj Visa Issuance

Saudi Arabia's Saudi Arabia — Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has initiated the early issuance of visas for the 2026 Hajj season (1447 AH) starting February 8, 2026. This move is part of a strategic operational calendar designed to enhance service readiness and streamline preparations months before pilgrims arrive. Preparations began in June 2025 with preliminary planning documents shared with Hajj affairs offices, followed by access to detailed camp information via the Nusk Masar platform. Key milestones include preparatory contracting for accommodation and services, finalization of operational data, and opening pilgrim registration by October 2025. Major service agreements were signed in Jumada Al Awwal, and contracts for accommodation in Saudi Arabia — Mecca and Saudi Arabia — Medina, along with transport and services at the holy sites, were completed in January 2026. The first groups of pilgrims are expected to arrive from April 18, 2026. The Saudi Arabia — Ministry of Hajj and Umrah emphasized strict adherence to the timeline and highlighted the use of the Nusk Masar platform and electronic wallets to improve transparency and accelerate contractual processes. Around 750,000 pilgrims have registered so far, with 485 camps allocated for international pilgrims and 73 Hajj affairs offices completing basic contractual requirements.
