Manipur Joint Security Operations Against Insurgents

The India — Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and Manipur — Manipur Police conducted a series of intelligence-driven joint operations across multiple districts in India — Manipur during March 15-21 and February 1-7. These operations led to the apprehension of 20 cadres from various hill and valley-based insurgent groups, including Laos — Lao People s Revolutionary Party, Kangleipak Communist Party, Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup, National Liberation Army, and United National Liberation Front. A significant cache of 75 weapons, explosives, and other war-like stores, including rifles, pistols, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and ammunition, was recovered. Some IEDs were destroyed in situ. The operations also foiled an ambush attempt by armed insurgents along the India-Myanmar Border. These actions aim to enhance security and stability in the region.
