Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board UTME Deadline

The Nigeria — Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the registration for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will close on February 26, 2026, with no possibility of extension. The Nigeria — Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board expressed concern over the low turnout of candidates at registration centers across Nigeria, despite having the capacity to register 100,000 candidates daily. The board also warned against examination cheats and tutorial center operators who mislead candidates into delaying registration to force an extension, stating that such tactics will not be tolerated. Over 1.5 million candidates have registered as of February 17, 2026.
