This event has no direct impact on financial markets as it is a local crime investigation.

A man has been arrested at Dublin Airport on suspicion of murdering Daniel Aruebose, a three-year-old boy who went missing in 2021. The suspect, in his twenties, was deported from Brazil, where he had been living without proper immigration status. Daniel's remains were found in a wasteland in Donabate, Co Dublin, in September last year. The disappearance was discovered when officials from the Department of Social Protection made checks on a social welfare payment related to Daniel and could not determine his location. Ireland has no extradition treaty with Brazil, so the arrest was facilitated by an international operation in coordination with the Brazilian Federal Police.
