Delhi Metro Magenta Line Expansion

The India — Delhi Metro Rail Corporation's Magenta Line (Line-8) is set to become the longest corridor in the India — Delhi Metro Rail Corporation network, stretching approximately 89 kilometers from Botanical Garden to Inderlok. This expansion follows the approval of Phase-V (A), which includes the extension from Ramakrishna Ashram Marg to Indraprastha via Central Vista, and the integration of the Indraprastha-Inderlok corridor under Phase-IV. Once completed, the Magenta Line will feature 21 interchange stations, up from the current four, and will operate entirely as a driverless line. The project, managed by India — Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, aims to reduce travel time, decongest major routes, and provide seamless connectivity across the India — National Capital Region (India). The expanded line will have 65 stations, with 40 being underground, and includes engineering landmarks like Haiderpur Badli Mor (highest elevated station) and Hauz Khas (deepest underground station).
