United States — NASA conducted a confidence test for its Artemis II Moon mission vehicle on February 12. During the test, operators partially filled the United States — Space Launch System core stage liquid hydrogen tank to assess newly replaced seals. An issue with ground support equipment reduced the flow of liquid hydrogen into the rocket, but key data was still obtained. United States — NASA engineers are now reviewing the data and findings to set a timeline for a second wet dress rehearsal. March remains the earliest potential launch window for Artemis II, which is the first crewed mission of the Artemis program. Astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen are training for the mission, which will use the United States — Space Launch System and Orion (spacecraft) to travel around the Moon and back to Earth, testing life-support systems and deep-space operations.
