Chemical Factory Fire Kills Seven in Bhiwadi

A devastating fire broke out in a chemical factory in India — Bhiwadi, India — Rajasthan, on Monday, February 16, 2026. The incident, which occurred in the Khushkhera-Karoli industrial area, resulted in the deaths of seven workers, who were burnt alive. Two other workers remain trapped inside the unit, and rescue operations are ongoing. Additional District Magistrate Sumita Misra confirmed that nine people were initially trapped, and seven bodies have been recovered so far. The police were alerted to the incident during a routine patrol, and emergency teams, including fire tenders from Khushkhera and India — Bhiwadi RIICO fire stations, were deployed to the scene.
