The expanded partnership between AMD and Tata Consultancy Services is expected to boost the AI infrastructure market in India, increasing competition for Nvidia. This collaboration could lead to increased demand for AMD' AI chips and enhance Tata Consultancy Services' position in the data center and AI services sector.
AMD and Tata Consultancy Services have expanded their strategic partnership to co-develop a rack-scale AI infrastructure architecture, based on AMD' 'Helios' platform, for India. This collaboration, executed through Tata Consultancy Services' subsidiary HyperVault AI Data Center Limited, aims to support India's national AI initiatives and build sovereign AI capabilities. The 'Helios' platform will be powered by AMD' Instinct MI455X GPUs, next-generation EPYC 'Venice' CPUs, Pensando Vulcano NICs, and the open ROCm software ecosystem. The companies will offer an AI-ready data center blueprint capable of supporting up to 200 MW of capacity, working with hyperscalers and AI-native firms to accelerate data center build-outs in India. This move intensifies AMD' competition with Nvidia in India's rapidly expanding AI infrastructure segment.
