The launch of the Tata Punch EV facelift is expected to boost Tata Motors' market share in the electric vehicle segment in India, potentially increasing investor confidence in the company. The competitive pricing and enhanced features could also stimulate broader adoption of EVs in the Indian market.
Tata Motors has launched the facelifted version of its Punch EV in India, with a starting price of Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom). This update includes styling tweaks, feature upgrades, and new battery pack options (30kWh and 40kWh) offering improved range. The vehicle now features a revised front bumper, new 16-inch alloy wheels, connected LED taillamps, and an upgraded interior with a larger infotainment touchscreen and digital driver's display. Safety features include six airbags as standard. Tata Motors is also offering a lifetime, unlimited-kilometre battery warranty for the first owner. The Punch EV facelift aims to strengthen Tata Motors' position in the compact electric SUV segment in India, competing with models like the Citroën ë-C3 and sitting between the Tata Tiago EV and Nexon in Tata Motors' electric lineup.
