UK eVisa System for Pakistanis

The United Kingdom has introduced a new eVisa system for Pakistani nationals, including tourists, business travelers, and those visiting family. This digital system eliminates the need for physical visa stickers in passports, with successful applicants receiving confirmation by email and accessing their immigration status through an online United Kingdom — UK Visas and Immigration account. Applicants will continue to apply online and provide biometrics at a visa application center but will no longer need to return to collect their passports. British High Commissioner Jane Marriott stated that this is a significant step that saves time and enhances security by reducing the risk of lost or damaged documents. The system also allows applicants to generate a share code to prove their visa status. This follows a successful rollout for students and work visa holders last year, with no changes to processing times, eligibility, or conditions.
