Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan met with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong in Islamabad to reaffirm the enduring All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership between Pakistan and China. During the meeting, Jiang Zaidong reiterated China's full support for Pakistan's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and socio-economic development. Shehbaz Sharif conveyed greetings to Xi Jinping and Li Qiang for the Chinese New Year and expressed appreciation for China's consistent support. Both leaders highlighted the importance of the Belt and Road Initiative and its flagship project, the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), stressing the need to accelerate ongoing projects. They also emphasized enhancing cooperation in agriculture, information technology, mining, and minerals.
