India's gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection reached Rs 1.83 lakh crore in February 2026, an 8.1% increase from the previous month. The total gross GST revenue for the financial year 2025-26 stood at Rs 20.27 lakh crore as of February 28, marking an 8.3% year-on-year growth. Net GST revenue for the month was Rs 1.61 lakh crore after accounting for Rs 22,595 crore in refunds. Domestic GST revenue rose by 5.3% to Rs 1.36 lakh crore, while import revenue surged by 17.2% to Rs 47,837 crore. However, net cess revenue declined significantly to Rs 5,063 crore. State-wise, India — Maharashtra, India — Karnataka, and India — Gujarat were major contributors, while states like India — West Bengal, India — Jharkhand, India — Odisha, India — Chhattisgarh, India — Madhya Pradesh, India — Tripura, and India — Jammu and Kashmir saw a contraction in SGST revenue growth.
