Justin Timberlake has filed a lawsuit against the Village of United States — Sag Harbor, New York and its police department to prevent the public release of body camera footage from his 2024 drunken driving arrest. His legal team argues that the footage, which captures him in a vulnerable state during the roadside encounter and subsequent arrest, would cause severe and irreparable harm to his reputation and privacy. The United States — Sag Harbor Police Department intends to release the eight hours of footage, with some redactions, in response to Freedom of Information Law requests from media outlets. Justin Timberlake had previously pleaded guilty to impaired driving, receiving a fine, community service, and a license suspension. A judge has asked both sides to confer on a possible resolution.
