Tinubu Renews Ayo Omotayo NIPSS DG

President Bola Tinubu has approved the renewal of Professor Ayo Omotayo's appointment as the Director-General of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (NIPSS) for a final term of four years. This decision, announced by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, ensures that Ayo Omotayo will continue to lead Nigeria's premier policy think tank. Ayo Omotayo was initially appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari in November 2021, with the Nigeria — Senate of Nigeria confirming the appointment in February 2022. Ayo Omotayo, a Professor of Environmental Sustainability, has an extensive academic background, including a PhD in Geography from the University of Ibadan and a long teaching career at Lagos State University, where he held several leadership positions.
