Netflix Acquires Ben Affleck's InterPositive

Netflix has acquired InterPositive, an AI filmmaking technology company founded by actor and filmmaker Ben Affleck. This acquisition aims to integrate AI-powered tools into Netflix's creative process, enhancing production workflows while keeping artists at the center of storytelling. Ben Affleck will join Netflix as a Senior Advisor, and the entire InterPositive team will be absorbed into the streaming platform. The technology developed by InterPositive focuses on building AI models from existing production dailies, allowing filmmakers to improve post-production processes like mixing, coloring, and visual effects, rather than generating content from scratch. Netflix emphasizes that these tools are intended to support and empower creators, not replace them. This move follows Netflix's recent withdrawal from a bid to acquire assets from Warner Bros. Discovery.
