Serbia bans fuel exports

The government of Serbia, through its Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic, initially imposed a 10-day ban on the export of oil and all petroleum products, including diesel, gasoline, and crude oil, until March 19. This measure was taken to protect the domestic market from shortages and price hikes due to global market disruptions and a 40% surge in oil prices. The ban was subsequently extended until April 2, 2026. As an additional measure, Serbia will release 40,000 tons of diesel from its reserves.
