Anurag Shukla Acquitted of Molestation

Anurag Shukla, an India — Indian Air Force personnel, was acquitted of molestation charges by a special court presided over by Judge Rashmi Singh. The charges were filed in 2019 by his minor sister-in-law, who later retracted her allegations during the trial, stating the incident was a dream. Her father, Vijay Tiwari, and elder sister, Shivani Tiwari, also testified that the complaint was filed under a misunderstanding. The court found that the prosecution failed to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. As a result of the case, Anurag Shukla experienced severe mental stress and career setbacks, including being denied a promotion in the India — Indian Air Force. The court also directed that criminal proceedings be initiated against Vijay Tiwari for allegedly presenting false evidence.
