Karnataka Installs QpiAI Quantum Computer

The Government of India — Karnataka announced the installation of QpiAI Indus, a 25-qubit quantum computing system developed by QpiAI, at the Quantum Computing Centre of Excellence at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Dharwad and Indian Institutes of Information Technology. This marks QpiAI's second deployment in India — Karnataka and is part of the state's Local Economy Acceleration Programme (LEAP) and India — Karnataka Quantum Roadmap. The system will support educational and commercial applications, including curriculum development, student training, faculty research, and enterprise experimentation. Priyank Kharge, IT/BT minister, and N. S. Boseraju, Science & Technology minister, emphasized the initiative's role in building advanced technology infrastructure and fostering applied science. Nagendra Nagaraja, CEO of QpiAI, highlighted the deployment's significance for QpiAI and India's quantum ambitions, aiming to deepen regional capabilities and expand national access to quantum infrastructure. The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Dharwad will also receive ongoing support from QpiAI for users.
