Court Grants ICPC Access to El-Rufai's Devices

The Nigeria — Federal High Court of Nigeria in Abuja has granted the Nigeria — Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) permission to access and analyze 14 electronic devices recovered from the residence of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai. This order was issued following an ex-parte motion filed by the Nigeria — Independent Corrupt Practices Commission as part of its ongoing investigation into Nasir El-Rufai. Concurrently, Nasir El-Rufai has filed a separate suit before the same court, challenging the legality of the search conducted on February 19 and seeking N1 billion in damages. He argues that the search warrant was invalid and that the operation violated his fundamental rights. The Nigeria — Independent Corrupt Practices Commission and the Nigeria — Nigeria Police Force, who assisted in the search, maintain that their actions were lawful and based on a valid court order.
