Fugitive Security Guard Killed in Standoff

Mike King, a fugitive wanted for impersonating a law enforcement officer and operating a business called 'Off Duty Police Services,' was killed in a standoff with the United States — Dallas Police Department's SWAT team. King had barricaded himself inside a car at Children s Medical Center Plano and aimed a gun at officers before being shot. It was revealed that Mike King had previously worked as a security guard for U.S. Representative Jasmine Rockett, both in Washington, D.C., and Texas, including during her campaign events. Jasmine Rockett had paid Mike King for 'security services' as recently as last year, despite his alleged criminal background and use of aliases.
