The successful Series C funding round for Atlys, led by Susquehanna Asia Venture Capital and including MakeMyTrip as a new investor, signals strong investor confidence in the travel tech sector, particularly in companies leveraging AI for efficiency. This investment will enable Atlys to expand globally and enhance its AI capabilities, potentially disrupting traditional visa processing and benefiting the broader travel industry.
Atlys, a New Delhi-based visa processing platform, has successfully raised $36 million in a Series C funding round. Susquehanna Asia Venture Capital led the round, with participation from existing investors Elevation Capital, Long Journey Ventures, and Peak XV Partners. MakeMyTrip joined as a new investor. The company, founded by Mohak Nahta, plans to use the fresh capital to expand into additional international markets, including the United Arab Emirates, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, which now account for nearly half of its business. A significant portion of the funding will also be allocated to accelerating Atlys' artificial intelligence roadmap, integrating AI across the visa process for document verification, eligibility assessment, and traveler support. Atlys has processed approximately 450,000 visas since its previous funding round and reported an 11-fold growth since its Series B in 2024, now operating at an annual run rate of over 700,000 visas. The company's mission is to remove barriers to international travel, making cross-border experiences more accessible and reliable.
