The introduction of a more affordable all-wheel-drive Tata Harrier EV variant by Tata Motors is expected to positively impact the company's sales and market share in the electric SUV segment. This move also intensifies competition within the Indian electric vehicle market, potentially driving innovation and offering more choices for consumers.
Tata Motors has launched a new, more accessible all-wheel-drive variant of its Tata Harrier EV, the Fearless+ QWD 75, priced at INR 26.49 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. This strategic move reduces the entry price for the dual-motor Quad Wheel Drive system by INR 2.50 lakh, previously exclusive to the top-spec Empowered trim. The new variant is powered by a 75kWh battery pack, delivering 313 hp and 504 Nm of torque, with a claimed range of up to 622 km. It comes equipped with features like a 12.3-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree camera. Additionally, Tata Motors has introduced a new Seaweed Green exterior color across all Tata Harrier EV variants. Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, highlighted the strong customer interest in the Tata Harrier EV, with over 13,000 units delivered in six months.
