The actions by the government of India to streamline gas distribution and increase Liquefied petroleum gas allocations are expected to ease supply pressures, positively impacting industries reliant on these fuels. The government of India has intensified efforts to optimize gas distribution and alleviate supply constraints. The India — Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization has mandated a 10-day processing period for City Gas Distribution applications to expedite the deployment of Natural gas. Concurrently, commercial Liquefied petroleum gas allocations have been progressively increased to 50%, with priority given to sectors such as restaurants, hotels, and food processing units. The government is also encouraging commercial Liquefied petroleum gas users to transition to Natural gas as part of a broader strategy to reduce reliance on Liquefied petroleum gas and stabilize supply amidst global uncertainties.
