This collaboration is expected to positively impact EaseMyTrip by expanding its presence in the religious tourism segment and rural markets, potentially increasing its market share and revenue. The formalization of India's spiritual services economy could also create new economic opportunities and contribute to skill development and financial inclusion within India.
EaseMyTrip, in collaboration with the India — National Skill Development Corporation, Sanatan AI, and Shiv Sena, has launched a national entrepreneurship initiative to formalize India's spiritual services economy. The program, titled '1 Panchayat - 1 Pandit - SANATANAI Shop on Wheels by EMT,' aims to empower Pandits, Pujaris, and Sanskrit-trained youth as certified micro-entrepreneurs. This will be achieved through structured training, standardized service delivery, and access to institutional financing, including MUDRA-linked frameworks. The core of the initiative involves deploying EV-based 'Shop on Wheels' units in up to 2 lakh Panchayats over five years, offering services like pooja bookings, religious travel planning, and virtual darshan. EaseMyTrip will integrate its travel distribution capabilities to strengthen its presence in religious tourism and expand its reach in rural and semi-urban markets.
